Job summary
An exciting opportunity has
arisen with the recently re-structured Buckinghamshire,Oxfordshire and
Berkshire West (BOB) Integrated Care Board (ICB), who value and promote

A working knowledge and a passion for the

Professional nursing qualification and current
registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
Excellent communication skills with the ability

Ability to demonstrate basic IT skills
Able to travel to healthcare provider sites
An ability to work as part of a team providing

Main duties of the job
Job base location will be a
flexible hybrid of site visits (expenses paid), BOB ICB offices (available in
the 3 counties) or home based according to organisational needs. The role will
support the implementation and delivery of the IPC strategy. Working under the
guidance of the Head of IPC and vaccinations you will work closely with the
Infection prevention and control (IPC) Nurse and Quality and patient experience
managers to support wider quality work of the organisation. To discuss this

Job responsibilities
The role sits within the BOB ICB IPC and Vaccination
function and will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation and
delivery of the IPC strategy. Working under the guidance of the Head of IPC and
vaccinations this role will work closely with the Quality and patient
experience managers to support wider quality work of the organisation.
The below is only an outline of the tasks,
responsibilities and outcomes required of the role. The job holder will carry out any other
duties as may reasonably be required by their line manager.

Prepare information and collate data on IPC related
issues i.e. infection rates to support the Head of IPC and vaccination in
identifying themes are areas for improvement.
Prepare papers for identified boards as directed by
the Head of IPC and Vaccinations.
Support providers, within identified framework, when
quality issues are identified that relate to IPC through expert advice and
signposting / delivery of training as appropriate.
Support the ICS network of IPC leads to become
sustainable in the development of a community of practice.
Support the Head of IPC and Vaccinations in pathway
development of IPC related services i.e. outbreak preparedness.
Act as a clinical subject matter expert supporting the
Quality and patient experience manages within the wider ICB functions,
including site visits as directed by the Head of IPC and Vaccinations.
Support development of IPC capacity and capability across system
partners.
