Job summary

In the heart of the Thames Valley is our Integrated Care Board (ICB). It covers the geography across three counties and goes in line with the local authority boundaries of Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Reading, West Berkshire and Wokingham. Our geography covers a population of nearly 1.8 million. While overall in good health and socio-economic condition, alongside affluence we have pockets of severe deprivation.

Our constituent organisations include 175 GP surgeries, 5 local authorities, 3 acute hospital trusts, 2 mental health and community providers, 1 ambulance trust and a single operating model across all of this, spending c£2.5bn of public money each year.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for developing and maintaining effective and efficient systems for the management of the Medicines Optimisation team (MOT), and its functions. This postholder will also support the ICS Medicines Optimisation Collaborative Leadership group.

The role will develop and support Medicines Optimisation team information requirements, including systems for supporting performance management and related national and local targets. The post holder will have responsibility for preparation of papers and reports for the team including analysing prescribing data extracts. The role will also require you to keep team records in order to ensure the MOT function to the highest level.

The role will also provide PA functionality to the Chief Pharmacist and Deputy Chief Pharmacist and duties will be wide ranging and will include routine secretarial duties such as minuting of meetings, travel and diary arrangements, web and information support, and claim administration.

You will be expected to matrix work with colleagues in information, finance, Primary Care and other ICB directorates, working coherently together to meet the needs of the team. The post holder will build excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, conducting themselves in accordance with the organisational principles and values at all times.
