Job summary

An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Continuing Care Service (CHC) Central Appeals Team for a Senior Administrator. This is a small friendly team offering a new centralised service across West Yorkshire ICB completing appeals and retrospective assessments for NHS Continuing Healthcare funding.

The post holder will be a key member of the Central Appeals Team, supporting the administration of the service requirements. Candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills. as well as office administration experience and organisational skills. Data inputting and Microsoft Office packages knowledge is essential. Experience of working in a Continuing Care team is not essential however knowledge of CHC legislation is a desirable component for the role.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for the day to day administrative duties of the Continuing Care Service Central Appeals Team.

The post holder will be the first point of contact for the service, dealing with routine and specialist enquiries in a pleasant and helpful manner. Excellent communication and administrative skills are necessary. The post holder will have the ability to work unsupervised, on their own initiative whilst under pressure and always maintaining a professional empathetic approach.

The post may include training of other staff and knowledge transfer.

The successful candidate will be a consummate team player possessing excellent written and verbal skills, an eye for detail, and demonstrate proficient keyboard/computer skills.
