The role forms part of
the Contracting and Procurement team which encompasses both the management and
facilitation of partner relationships as well as the transactional activities
required by the contracting and procurement/provider selection process.
The role is required to
work flexible across the 5 places in West Yorkshire and an office base will be
agreed with the individual.
Main duties of the job
The
Senior Contract Manager is responsible for the negotiation, management and
delivery of an aligned portfolio of contracts with NHS and Non-NHS providers
delivering services for the population of West Yorkshire. The post holder
will ensure that robust contract and performance management is in place to
support the delivery of the ICB strategic priorities.
The
role will be required to build relationships with stakeholders ensuring they
are appropriately involved in the shaping of the commissioning intentions,
management of contracts, and that there are mechanisms in place to understand
local ICB concerns and issues and ensure that feedback is provided on these.
The
senior contracts manager will have responsibility for ensuring day to day
issues relating to ICB contracts are resolved quickly and effectively.
There
are two roles:
One
will be part of the acute and independent sector portfolio team, with
responsibility for NHS acute provider contracts, as well as Non-NHS
Independent Sector contracts.

A keen attention to detail and being able to manage staff working to numerous, differing deadlines will be advantageous.
