Job summary

We are seeking a dynamic, driven and focused individual to join our friendly data quality team.

The successful candidate will help to support the development of data quality tools within primary care clinical systems (TPP SystmOne & EMIS), to continually improve and develop the quality of the electronic patient record.

We are looking for a methodical, yet flexible approach with excellent communication and customer service skills, as the ability to work with general practice staff and clinicians, primary care networks and WY Integrated Care Board, is as important as system knowledge and expertise.

You will be a solution finder with experience of general practice clinical information systems and an understanding of how excellent data quality underpins quality care and aids boards and commissioners to make informed data driven decisions.

The role is hosted in Calderdale but the postholder will be expected to work across the Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield footprint, supporting GP Practices, WY ICB and PCNs.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will:

Support the Data Quality Manager to improve data quality, consistency and assurance in primary care by developing clinical system tools such as clinical templates and clinical system reports.

Spend a large proportion of the role working closely with staff and clinicians from general practice to advise on:

QOF (Quality Outcomes Framework) queries

QOF patient recalls

Local and national incentive schemes

Claims queries

Clinical system report queries

Clinical system optimisation

Work with GP practices and primary care networks to provide support, training and guidance in summarising electronic medical records and comprehension of medical terminology. Both of which indirectly contribute to improving patient care.

Work closely with WY Integrated Care Board, primary care networks and GP practices to implement local and national initiatives.

Have a methodical, yet flexible approach to their work and be able to exercise responsible judgement. The ability to work as part of a team and the commitment to provide an efficient and effective service is essential.

Support consistent coding approaches in line with data requirements that enable quality improvement and robust evaluation.

Provide specialist clinical system (TPP Systmone & EMIS) support to general practice staff, clinicians and commissioners.
