Job summary
We
are seeking a dynamic, driven and focused individual to join our friendly
data quality team.
The
successful candidate will help to support the development of data quality
tools within primary care clinical systems (TPP SystmOne & EMIS), to
continually improve and develop the quality of the electronic patient record.
We
are looking for a methodical, yet flexible approach with excellent
communication and customer service skills, as the ability to work with
general practice staff and clinicians, primary care networks and WY
Integrated Care Board, is as important as system knowledge and expertise.
You
will be a solution finder with experience of general practice clinical
information systems and an understanding of how excellent data quality
underpins quality care and aids boards and commissioners to make informed
data driven decisions.
The
role is hosted in Calderdale but the postholder will be expected to work
across the Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield footprint, supporting GP
Practices, WY ICB and PCNs.
Main duties of the job
The
successful candidate will:
Support
the Data Quality Manager to improve data quality, consistency and assurance
in primary care by developing clinical system tools such as clinical
templates and clinical system reports.
Spend
a large proportion of the role working closely with staff and clinicians from
general practice to advise on:
QOF (Quality Outcomes Framework)
queries
QOF patient recalls
Local and national incentive
schemes
Claims queries
Clinical system report queries
Clinical system optimisation
Work
with GP practices and primary care networks to provide support, training and
guidance in summarising electronic medical records and comprehension of
medical terminology. Both of which
indirectly contribute to improving patient care.
Work
closely with WY Integrated Care Board, primary care networks and GP practices
to implement local and national initiatives.
Have
a methodical, yet flexible approach to their work and be able to exercise
responsible judgement. The ability to work as part of a team and the
commitment to provide an efficient and effective service is essential.
Support
consistent coding approaches in line with data requirements that enable
quality improvement and robust evaluation.
Provide
specialist clinical system (TPP Systmone & EMIS) support to general
practice staff, clinicians and commissioners.

information strategies and plans in line with national and local data quality
standards and clinical governance requirements.
Provide
expert support for the development of Primary Care clinical system solutions.
Establish

colleagues in the ICBs, General Practice staff and other internal or external
organisations.
Support

Develop
