This is an opportunity for someone with strong analytical
skills and an interest in applying them to data to solve real life problems.
This role will support driving service improvements forward preventing
cardiovascular disease including strokes. You will be asking questions to
evaluate the impact of four projects on the health and population of West
Yorkshire.
The role is funded by the improving population health
function, part of the strategy and partnerships directorate and will be hosted
in the health and care evaluation service (HaCES) in the Leeds Office of Data
Analytics (ODA). It will focus on the delivery of evaluations for four
projects:
T2Day
(Type 2 Diabetes in The Young);
Minuteful
Kidney;
AF
(Atrial Fibrillation) Way;
Hyper
Acute Stroke Unit (HASU).
You will be using data taken from linked data sets,
surveys and focus groups to understand the successes and challenges of each of
these programmes.
Working in HaCES in the ODA you will be supported to
develop and implement evaluation methods and deliver one or more rounds of
evaluation.
The successful candidate will need to have an enquiring
mind, strong analytical skills and be able to plan, manage multiple projects to
a high standard.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be expected to deliver four
evaluations over 18 months:
T2Day:
supporting patients aged 18- 39 who have a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes.
Minuteful
Kidney: implementing Healthy.ios home kidney albumin and creatinine ratio test
AFWay:
improved case finding, diagnosis and treatment for those living with atrial
fibrillation and prescribed direct oral anticoagulants (DOAC)
HASU:
improving the delivery of Hyper-Acute Stroke service.
For each of these you will be expected to:
Develop
an evaluation approach and project plan;
Develop
methods to collect the data required;
Analyse
the data collected;
Deliver
evaluation outputs such as reports and presentations to communicate findings
and recommendations.
The role will work closely with other analysts in the
HaCE service and use well established project management approaches to deliver
evaluations and support the development of the HaCE Service including new and
novel methods and approaches.
You will have a close working relationship with the West
Yorkshire Improving Population Health team, providing guidance, insight and
recommendations to improve the programmes they manage, helping to develop their
skills to ensure evaluation methodologies are used in future programmes of
work.
Stakeholder engagement will be required as part of the
role to ensure the post holder is engaging with all relevant stakeholders, to
capture all information/learning required.
