us as the Director of Partnership and Place for Bradford District and Craven,
where you will lead the delivery our vision to act as one to keep people
happy, healthy at home.
As
a senior team member, you will provide essential leadership to achieve our
shared vision, supported by key partners.
You
will have a sound understanding of the strategic, tactical, operational,
political and economic issues, challenges and opportunities facing health and
care with significant experience of working at a senior level within a complex
organisation and system.
This
role means you will also be our deputy Accountable Officer Bradford District
and Craven Place (within our ICB), with a strong focus ensuring we meet our ICB
statutory duties as well as building on the work we have done on developing a
strong place-based partnership through our act as one ethos. You will
deputise for the Accountable Officer (for our ICB at place) in their absence,
covering specific pieces of work on their behalf, signing off complaints, and
covering specific Committees and Executive Groups.
Note: NHS West Yorkshire ICB has implemented a
preferential interview process for internal staff on pay protection. Internal

Main duties of the job
Working
as part of our WY ICB you will be a passionate and enthusiastic member of our

will have accountability for overseeing the delivery of the partnerships
strategy, ensuring sufficient focus on the core aims of the ICS as well as our
priorities at Place, building on evidence and strong public engagement, and
owned across all system partners whilst reflecting and balancing local and
national priorities.
You
will ensure that there are clear processes and governance in place to oversee
the partnerships delivery of the strategy and ambitions, as well overseeing a
range of other corporate ICB at place functions including communications and
engagement, partnership delivery and workforce.
Working closely with our place finance lead to act as
SRO for our collaborative programme, called closing the gap, established in
response to the extreme financial challenges that face our system

plan for the Partnership at Place. The
Director will ensure this reflects the strategies of all relevant partners
and aligns to the strategies and plans of the West Yorkshire Integrated Care
Board.

health and healthcare and so reducing health inequalities;
- To tackle inequalities in outcomes,
experience, and access and so managing unwarranted variations in care;
- To enhance productivity and value
for money and so using our collective resources wisely; and
- To help the NHS support broader
social and economic development and so securing the economic and social
benefits of investing in health and care.
The
Director of Partnership and Place will be required to oversee the
implementation of the HCP strategy and the joint forward plan that supports
the delivery of our strategic objectives.
They
will help set the tone within the organisation and the wider system,
providing outstanding professional, compassionate, inclusive, and corporate
leadership across the NHS and the wider health and social care system to
ensure the best possible standards of healthcare on behalf of the
population.
As
a professional and credible leader, the postholder will work through
professional networks across the ICS and regionally where relevant to provide
collective leadership, engaging in peer review and challenge to improve
overall practice and ensure shared learning.
The
postholder will uphold the Nolan Principles of Public Life, the standards for
NHS Boards set out by the Professional Standards Authority and the NHS Leadership
Framework competencies. They will also
participate in a regular on-call commitment.
