Job summary
Director of Workforce Change
As part of its organisation redesign, CIoS ICB is working to establish a strategic, system-level workforce function to develop an integrated workforce strategy for health and care in CIoS. The ICB's Workforce Change Team will work alongside system leaders across the NHS, Primary Care, Local Authority and VCSE to define, design and co-deliver workforce changes that support new clinical and care models, and the local implementation of the NHS Long Term Workforce plan.
Team roles will be advertised soon and in the meantime, we are looking for a Director of Workforce Change Director (Band 9 - £99,891 - £114.949) to lead and shape the system workforce agenda. This role will develop and deliver health and care workforce strategies and plans that support the delivery of health and care strategies, the NHS Long term workforce plan and secure the 10 ICS people outcomes. Our workforce strategies will directly contribute to improved population health and care outcomes, operate within the ICS financial context, create fulfilling health and care working lives and contribute to wider social and economic development. This will require close working with clinical and system leaders to ensure new models of health and care are enabled by innovative workforce solutions, and ensuring stakeholders are effectively engaged in securing the benefits of workforce change.

About you:
The full person spec is set out in the attached JD. Success in this role will require:
- Business, organisational and financial acumen with good knowledge of health and care and extensive public service experience
- First class consulting skills, including critical thinking, solution-focused problem solving, agile project management, and able to develop compelling evidence and benefits-based cases for change
- Strong relationship management skills, collaborative style, able to be persuasive and influential work across organisational and functional boundaries
- A self-starter who takes the initiative, is organised, resilient, with a growth mindset with high personal standards of integrity, reliability and delivery
- Experience of working with service design, commissioning and change methodologies, able to define, design and co-deliver service and organisational change
- Experience of achieving complex organisational and service change at significant scale, working with multiple stakeholders and interest groups
- Personal commitment to the equality, diversity, inclusion, social justice and broader public service and NHS values
