Continuing Healthcare Assistant Case Coordinator

Job summary

The ICB is looking for a proactive and flexible person to support the CHC Admin function within the CHC department, working as part of the administration team to provide an efficient and effective administrative service.

The post will provide administrative support to the NHS Continuing Healthcare team to enable them to carry out their work effectively to ensure a high quality and patient focused service.

Duties will include:

To deliver an effective and competent level of receptionist and/or clerical support and consistently deliver a "client-focused" service which promotes good customer service and effective working relationships.

Answer telephone calls at first point of contact to the CHC team.

To work in a supportive manner with other members of the CHC team to ensure the smooth running of the administration team; supporting administrative tasks, on specific pieces of work and projects ensuring appropriate administrative cover arrangements are in place.

The position is based at the Forum, Hemel Hempstead

Main duties of the job

  • Delivers an effective and competent level of clerical support and consistently delivers a "client-focused" service which promotes good customer service and effective working relationships
  • Manages the email inbox to ensure that incoming mail is dealt with, appropriately redirected, and to forward items requiring management attention as required.
  • Answering the central CHC telephone line responding to questions and queries from the general public and health/social care professionals appropriately. I
  • The post holder must be able to deal with all front line calls with tact and professionalism as the first line of communication with the CHC team,
  • Able to provide non-clinical advice to the general public regarding the CHC service and processes.
