Job summary

We have an exciting vacancy to join BLMK ICB Financial Management team as an Assistant Management Accountant.

This is a newly created role and so there is an opportunity to help shape this post on arrival and ensure that strong financial management support can be provided to the wider team.

The organisation currently works in a hybrid environment with a requirement to work in the office four days per month.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role will be to provide support to the Financial Management team. This includes all areas of the business; Primary Care, Acute, Mental Health, Continuing Healthcare, Community & Other programme services.

Some of the main duties of the role are listed below:

Provide assistance in the preparation of the monthly management accounts cycle including posting journals, reconciling month end accounts, reviewing budgets and forecasting.

You will support the team with invoice processing for both payables and receivables and ensure compliance with payment terms.

Work with budget leads and their support staff and advise on financial matters as required.

Assisting the Financial Management Team in the provision of financial information and advice to ICB decision makers, external agencies and partnership organisations.

Support planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting processes to support the ICBs internal performance monitoring.
