The NHS South West Collaborative Commissioning Hub are
looking to appoint a Primary Care Analyst.
The post holder will work in an autonomous role as
part of a dynamic team delivering transformation and commissioning support
across Primary Care services on behalf of NHS England and the 7 Integrated Care
Boards (ICB) as part of the South West Collaborative Commissioning Hub (SW CCH)
team, which is hosted by Somerset ICB.
The role will work across the Primary Care Team
within the South West to provide complex analysis, information, monitoring and
reporting across our portfolio.
The Analyst will help lead and deliver a high-quality insight service to
customers using extensive knowledge of NHS data and business processes, good
technical skills, and a passion for storytelling. Through their excellent
insight skills, they will enable the South West Collaborative Commissioning Hub
to drive meaningful changes for Pharmacy, Optometry and General Practice.
The role is pivotal to forging effective working
relationships with stakeholders providing expert analytical support to the SW
CCH and ICBs. The role will manage multiple work requests including conflicting
demands and regularly liaise with wide range of stakeholders to enhance
analysis and Primary Care performance.
Main duties of the job
Examples of work include:
Deep dive pieces of
analysis these are multiple and varied in topic and method applied.
Designing
and building new workbooks and leading the monthly and quarterly analysis and
reporting for Primary Care. This includes monitoring performance and
identifying reasons for variation in performance.
Analysis of workforce
trends to help support workforce planning and retention and recruitment of
Primary Care staff
For
this role, the keyskills we are looking for include:
You need to be comfortable to work under your own
initiative, manage your own workload and to make autonomous decisions. You need
to be adept at solving problems and responding to unexpected demands.
As an analyst you will need to be an advanced user
of Excel and know how to use techniques appropriately and have a degree in a relevant
area or evidence of equivalent experience.
You need to be inquisitive and methodical in
applying analytical skills and data visualisation. This will include
interpretation of data, evaluation, modelling and forecasting and making
recommendations as required.
You will need to be adept at building and
maintaining strong working relationships & networks across a wide range of
stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
You need excellent and confident communication
skills. You will be able to communicate your analysis, both verbally and in
written forms to a range of audiences.
