Job summary
To be responsible for the operational, administrative and business management of the Executive Directors Office, providing initial prioritisation of incoming work, while resolving day-to-day problems independently. Making informed decisions within an area of responsibility; ensuring agreed standards are met in accordance with Directorate, national standards, policies and procedures.
To provide a complete and wide-ranging personal assistant service to the Exec Director (and immediate line reports if applicable), including all administrative support and ensuring the efficient and professional day to day management of the office for the Director.
Providing comprehensive correspondence, diary and document management, arranging and servicing meetings and managing first time contacts for the Director
Maximise the time of the Director and their immediate line reports, if applicable, to the greatest efficiency and value by working without supervision and in a pro-active manner.
Provide high quality project, service, initiative and administrative support including information and analysis.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be delegated a high level of administrative responsibility and will be expected to manage their own work and take key decisions within broadly defined administrative policies and without reference to senior management and will be expected to appropriately manage highly confidential, complex and sensitive information concerning staff and the organisation as a whole, exercising discretion and upholding high professional standards at all times.
