Job summary
The Maternity Systems Programme Manager will be responsible for supporting the Local Maternity and Neonatal System within BNSSG ICB. The post will bring greater alignment between strategic commissioning, delivery of the Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS) programme and wider ICS priorities driven by the Long-Term Plan.
The Chief Nursing Officer Directorate supports the delivery of the LMNS key priorities.
The post is responsible for providing professional expertise to support these outcomes and the post holder will provide advice, guidance and deliver activity accordingly.
Main duties of the job
o Programme management across BNSSG of the national LMNS Programme
o Be a point of contact and key interface with the regional NHSE Maternity Team
o Programme manage the LTP deliverables for Maternity and Neonatal Services
o Interpret national strategies and policy in relation to Maternity and Neonatal services
o Lead the preparation of LMNS Board papers in liaison with the LMNS SRO
o Maintain oversight of delivery against the LTP and LMNS priorities and escalate accordingly if these are off track.
o The role has responsibility for triangulating value for money, local performance and national requirements (including benchmarking) against mandated priorities within the BNSSG local area.

- Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
- Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master's level equivalent.

- Must have an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement
