Job summary
The senior performance role is an exciting opportunity to help set up and create effective team working, performance processes and deliver continuous improvement in mental health services in the ICB. The Senior Performance manager is a key member of the mental health team and responsible for supporting all aspects of mental health performance improvement, reporting and development of improvement plans. The role will also:
- Develop the operational plan in relation to mental services
- Deliver mental health transformation programmes at gateway 3 and beyond through engagement with the senior leadership and managerial, clinical colleagues and stakeholders
- Lead on designated areas of work within the mental health team and ensure that workstream and programmes are planned and delivered
- Support head of Mental Health to develop and manage teams annual business plan, progress and dashboard reporting and risk and issue management across the system
- Line manage the delivery support officer.
Key Skills:
- Knowledge and experience of mental health services
- Able to communicate and build relationships with internal and external partners including ability to explain complex information and work on contentious issues
- Deliver on key performance indicators
- Deliver projects and initiatives on time, to quality standards and in a cost effective manner
- Support the development of the service delivery unit for mental health
Main duties of the job
General Duties
The post holder is responsible for ensuring the organisation has plans in place to meet national and local targets associated with Mental Health in their designated areas of responsibility.
- Working within the overall operational plan, devise, implement and monitor the plan regarding Mental Health in their designated areas of responsibility. and support the development of performance improvement plans and trajectories that embed best practice.
- Support the development of a System Performance Improvement plan regarding Mental Health and determine the development of appropriate performance and governance to deliver this.
- To support on the delivery of transformation programmes in their designated areas of responsibility associated with Mental Health from gateway 3.
