The Head of Diagnostic Services will work with colleagues at all levels to facilitate collaboration, including senior clinicians, executives, Provider Services collaborative and teams across Surrey Heartlands.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the development, management, and implementation of all aspects of the Diagnostic Programme including:oSurrey Heartlands Diagnostic Centre (CDC) model and future business cases.oSurrey, Sussex and Frimley Imaging network.oOverview of the following diagnostics: Endoscopy, Physiological Measurements, Pathology, Imaging/Radiology and Genomics.oWork with population health colleagues to reduce health inequalities through targeted interventions within those populations.oLiaise with NHSE/ICB/Trust provider collaborative/Trusts to ensure any deviation to performance trajectories are flagged, agreed and corrective action agreed.oAny local or national initiatives related to diagnostic care.oEnsure implementation of and monitoring against standardised clinical pathways.
The Head of Diagnostic services will be responsible for liaising with NHSE and bidding for additional monies as required. The post holder will coordinate the transfer of any revenue and capital funds allocated to the relevant trusts and/or Places.The post holder will support key clinical networks to redesign pathways, improve population health and reduce inequalities. The post holder will work closely with primary care colleagues and the planned care/cancer programmes to ensure seamless access and interventions for the population within Surrey Heartlands.
