Job summary
The Assurance Officer's role is to support the Assurance function undertake its core responsibilities to undertake ICS assurance activity. Support the provision of assurance to ICB and ICS assurance infrastructure and NHS England.
Main duties of the job
- Take the lead on co-ordinating the preparation for Surrey Heartlands ICS led assurance meetings
- Work collaboratively across adjacent teams to meet routine and ad hoc information and assurance requests from the ICB's and ICS's committees and forums.
- Present complicated information on allocated areas in a clear, understandable and audience-appropriate manner to others individually or in groups.
- Support the timely submission of assurance reports and templates to relevant internal SH ICS led assurance and external governance and assurance bodies.
- Support and/or lead the completion of assurance and performance templates from the ICB's external regulators, ensuring that submissions are on time and the appropriate assurance checks have been done and are aligned with ICS led assurance governance.
- Take, prepare, and circulate minutes and actions, monitoring follow up actions as required, adhering to timescales.
- Monitor the ICS Assurance Mailbox and take appropriate action as per the Standard Operating Procedure set out in the ICS Assurance Framework.
- Own and maintain the ICS Programme Outcomes Reporting Schedule, ensuring report authors and committee administrators have a clear understanding of the Assurance team's reporting requirements.
- Maintain a repository of all assurance and performance reports on shared drives and the ICB's Intranet, administering robust version control, file-naming and storage processes.
