Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Place based team to help drive improvements in the health and wellbeing for our population.

This role will join a small team working across Guildford & Waverley and will play a critical role in helping us to further expand and build upon work already underway as well as linking in with the other Places across Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care System.

If you would like to have an informal discussion to find out more about this role you can contact Amarjit Ballagan (amarjit.ballagan2@nhs.net), Head of PHM Analytics for Guildford & Waverley.

Main duties of the job

Our place-based partnerships increasingly need to bring together a wider variety of data from health, social care, local authorities and community partners, including the voluntary sector, to support our patients and residents.

This role will be an integral part of one of the ICS's four place-based partnerships and will work closely with the wider insight and analytics team, public health consultants, commissioners, clinicians and third parties. This will enable them to produce intelligent analytics and help stakeholders with key decision-making that will shape interventions and healthcare for the local population.

We are looking for an experienced analyst who is passionate about transforming and improving the lives and care of patients through data. The successful candidate will have experience working with health and social care data and excellent programming, analytical and communication skills to support non-technical audiences.

About us

Surrey Heartlands is a partnership of organisations working together - with staff, patients, their carers, families, and the public - to support people to live healthier lives. Surrey Heartlands developed into an Integrated Care Board (ICB) since July 2022, working through 4 Integrated, dynamic, and sustainable partnerships (ICP's) , each working together to deliver a shared vision across Surrey. ICP's aim to improve how local services are designed and co-ordinated for efficiency and benefit to the patient and service users. Each partnership is based on co-operation with our component partners, and focusing on local population needs, priorities and decision making.

The 4 ICP's are known as:

  • North West Surrey Alliance
  • Guildford and Waverley Alliance
  • Surrey Downs Health and Care
  • East Surrey Place

We have an ambitious vision for transformation and continuous improvement of health and care across our footprint and to deliver our objectives we need a team of capable, collaborative professionals who share the same vision. We are passionate about creating an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity. We know through experience that different ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds create a stronger and more creative work environment that delivers better patient outcomes. We welcome all applications, especially those from underrepresented communities, including people with a disability, and those from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds.
