Job summary

Surrey Heartlands are looking for a Programme Support Manager to join a successful, dynamic team, making a difference to the quality and range of health care services accessed by all residents of East Surrey.

Working as part of the East Surrey Place Transformation and Delivery Team, this role will allow the right person to develop, learn, and excel in all aspects of health project management whilst working alongside an experienced and friendly team of like minded individuals.

Across East Surrey Place, a transformational programme of work is currently underway with partners to support the delivery of local plans and the NHS Long Term Plan.

Main duties of the job

This role is part of the Transformation and Delivery Team and will be responsible for planning and delivering integrated services with partner organisations across East Surrey with links to the prioritised workplan for East Surrey Place. The work is varied and interesting with the opportunity to be part of improving services and the lives of people living in East Surrey.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Supporting with the development and delivery of the East Surrey Health and Care Partnerships Programme of work across an number of mandates including supporting those with long term conditions.
  • Developing thriving Neighbourhoods, to meet the East Surrey place-based priorities.
  • Develop and deliver effective care pathways which are person centred and use innovative approaches to facilitate service improvement and integrated service delivery.
  • Ensure patient and public involvement and meaningful engagement to produce quality local health services.

This role is most suited to individuals who have experience in the following:

  • project management for health services
  • ability to communicate across a wide range of organisational and cultural boundaries.
  • ability to analyse and review highly complex facts and situations
  • understanding of NHS and local authority decision making procedures and experience of NHS commissioning and procurement.

  • promoting quality improvement and reduction of health inequalities across health and care
