Job summary

We are looking for a Programme Manager.

To provide leadership and change management skills for a two year programme to work across Surrey. The Macmillan Programme Manager will work collaboratively across Frimley and Surrey Heartlands ICS to deliver the Macmillan Psychological Support across Cancer Programme. The post holder will scope the current provision of psychological support services for people affected by cancer across Surrey Heartlands and Frimley Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) involving all stakeholders. The results of which will be utilised to inform transformation of services leading to new models of mental health and wellbeing support for those living with and beyond cancer.

Main duties of the job

The main duties will include:

  • Report all services currently available, providing clear referral routes for both professionals and people affected by cancer.
  • Report gaps in current provision.
  • Work with stakeholders and people affected by cancer.
  • Work collaboratively identify recommendations for improvement where gaps persist.
  • Provide robust evidence to inform a business case to support sustainable funding of dedicated psychological support services to all people affected by cancer within the Surrey Heartlands and Frimley localities.
  • To build strong relationships with those providers.
  • To undertake any other duties which is deemed appropriate to the band when requested by senior staff.
