Job summary

The newly established People Services and Business Partnering Team works closely with senior management to provide business-focused people and Organisational Development (OD) solutions to support the provision of high quality, productive and innovative services across the ICB, including Place based teams.

The People Services and Business Partnering Team strives to enable the ICB to deliver an excellent health and social care service to North East London by providing first-class and timely HR advice, support and interventions at a strategic and operational level. The team undertakes activities that will support the ICB in driving continuous improvement and delivery of high-quality health and social care through outstanding leadership and management of its people. All the team's activities will be closely aligned with the NHS People Plan and other relevant strategic frameworks, including the Workforce Race Equality Strategy.

Main duties of the job

The Head of People Services will lead a first-class People advisory service through the Business Partnering model and People Services and Business Partnering Team. Provide strategic leadership, direction and support on technical workforce matters, and people focused solutions in line with a Just and Learning Culture.

You will support the delivery of the NHS People Plan/Promise and ICB people strategy, reviewing and revising to support the organisation's changing needs, leading and embedding a Business Partner and advisory model that provides pragmatic and innovative people solutions.You will ensure the team works as key partners within directorate/departmental teams, contributing to directorate objectives, priorities and plans. You will provide expert professional advice and strategic leadership on all aspects of the people strategy, including resourcing, retention, talent management and succession planning, workforce planning, employee relations and culture.
