Job summary
The post-holder will be responsible for providing senior and strategic information governance and data protection expertise and insight specifically to Business Intelligence, Analytics and Hosted Servicesteams, programmes and projects to achieve beneficial changes in line with the strategic goals of the ICB. This role will provide thought leadership on information governance requirements and likely initiallyto be in the context of emerging Integrated Care Systems (ICS) and to include projects concerned with interoperability, large scale analytics, and citizen facing digital solutions.
The post holder will be responsible for work that is highly complex in nature with involvement from a range of organisations, services, stakeholders at a regional and national level. The post holder is responsible for the development, management and implementation of the information governance agenda within the Business Intelligence, Analytics and Hosted Services teams.
Main duties of the job
Responsibility covers all aspects of Data Protection, UK GDPR (including operational DPO delivery),data sharing, development and delivery of policy, strategy, guidance and tools along with ensuring the DSPT is successfully submitted.
The department head will coordinate a group of specialists as well as leading their own specialism as detailed, including overseeing and coordinating the production of guidance, training material, policy,strategy and relevant procedures suitable for use by Business Intelligence, Analytics and Hosted Services teams. Wider responsibilities cover cyber and IT security in the Business Intelligence, Analytics and Hosted Services teams.

Support the identification and sharing of best practice in all matters of business and employee engagement. Operate in a highly political and sensitive environment. Personally lead, support and contribute to formal negotiations with senior staff from external stakeholders, providing a high level of negotiating expertise. Establishing and maintaining the ICB as a trusted provider of information governance advice / Subject Matter Expertise for the Business Intelligence, Analytics and Host Services teams. Identifying strategic developments in information governance and data protection impactassessments across the ICS in relation to policy, legislative and technical developmentswith a key focus on the information governance / data protection requirementssurrounding interoperability and information sharing. Develops and delivers training and guidance specific to the context of ICB and systempartners accounting for the new requirements and structures under Health and SocialCare Act 2012, UK General Data Protection Regulations, UK Data Protection Act 2018and common law duty of confidentiality. Development of training suitable to staff at alllevels. Develops a systematic approach to information governance with clear systems ofprioritisation, change management and control. To ensure the ICB, staff and the widersystem understand the standards required for information governance and riskmanagement and their implementation in standard working practice, with a particularfocus on the Business Intelligence, Analytics and Hosted Services teams. Develops standardised documents (policy, strategy, protocol and procedure) for usewith by the ICB and wider system with the option to tailor for the . To lead the development of policy and procedure in the area of responsibility. On call arrangements will be required within the team over bank holiday weekends
