Main duties of the job
NHS Sussex is looking for an
exceptional candidate for the role of Senior Administrator to take a key role
supporting the efficient functioning of the Community Commissioning Team by providing
and coordinating high quality administrative support. You
will work with us to support the management of the Community portfolio,
gathering information, promoting the effective use of data, information,
knowledge, and technology to improve and inform projects and initiatives across
the range of our work. You will need to be flexible, have a can
do attitude and a clear focus on collaboration and team work to achieve
results.

The post holder is required to provide administrative support; including for example, process and systems support, inbox coordination and support to internal team services. This may also include collation and circulation of papers, the preparation of agendas and minutes, taking appropriate follow-up action as required. Supporting the team with the management of projects, gathering information and undertaking enquires as and when is necessary for the head of department, teams and the department. The Postholder will be expected to actively engage and participate in cross-functional collaboration within the SCI Directorate, recognising the interconnectedness of the strategic and joint commissioning and transformation portfolios. This includes sharing knowledge, insights, and best practice across the areas of MHLDA, Acute, Urgent, Community and Primary Care and working jointly with the place based Joint commissioning & Integration functions. The Postholder will share their subject matter expertise/skills, working strategically with other postholders, supporting and embedding integration and new ways of working, enabling collective decision-making and strategy development.

- Educated to NVQ/RSA Diploma level 4 in a relevant subject or equivalent level of education or evidence of experience equivalent to level of qualification. Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.

- Ability to work without supervision. Able to work on own initiative, organising and prioritising own and others workloads to changing and often tight deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy working environment and able to multi-task.
