Job summary

The Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR), Urgent and Emergency Care and Resilience teams are looking for an enthusiastic System Co-ordination Centre (SCC)/EPRR Co-ordinator to join the team, working as a key member of the Chief Delivery Officer Directorate, providing key support to the Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response, Urgent and Emergency Care and Resilience business functions.

Providing support to Sussex ICS, to give assistance in ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of the full range of email communication supported by the ICS. The System Co-ordination Centre (SCC) is responsible for the oversight and coordination of emails across the Sussex healthcare system in support of the NHS Sussex, NHS Englands Regional System Operational Cell (SE-ROC) and Regional Vaccination Operational Cell (SE-RVOC).

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be a point of contact for the system, managing, maintaining and developing logs and being a central point of contact for all related tasks, including communications with external partners and agencies.

Supporting the SCC with email communications from the system and escalating issues

Support the collation and coordination of Situational Reports (SitReps)

Supporting the wider NHS system resilience response

Provide support to the organisation by operating an ICC function when required to support incident response

Support a number of functions within the Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) team.

  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject plus further training to post graduate diploma or equivalent level of experience working at a similar level in specialist area.
  • Further training or significant experience in project management, financial management or supporting change management processes.

  • Experience in communications and stakeholder management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management and/or health information systems development.
  • Workforce development knowledge and experience.
