NHS Sussex
Integrated Care Board (ICB) are responsible for the planning and commissioning
of health care services for the local area. We are able to work at scale across
Sussex to be more effective and efficient by streamlining processes, avoiding
duplication and delivering consistency of quality across a larger area. The ICB
covers an area of over 2 million people and has an annual financial spend of
over £2.95 billion. There is a single Chief Executive Officer and Executive
Team. As functions across Sussex are working towards becoming integrated, staff
working within the ICB are expected to have strong working links across the Sussex
Health and Care Integrated Care System (ICS).

Medicines Optimisation Team is ambitious and forward thinking, striving to
ensure that the patient is always at the heart of everything we do. The team,
as part of the shared management team across Sussex, is responsible for
providing strategic and operational level advice and support in all matters
regarding prescribing and Medicines Optimisation (MO). The team works to
address MO and service development issues in partnership with other
organisations across all local health and social care interfaces
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
pharmacist leader who is interested in a role that involves strategic
leadership, innovation, operational delivery, partnership working and people
development . This is an exciting opportunity to provide expert strategic
leadership in the delivery of the Sussex Primary Care Medicines Optimisation
Quality Improvement (QI) programme.
The
successful candidate will lead on QI programme supporting design and
implementation of QI development and delivery of the MO priorities to improve
population health outcomes. The post holder will work closely with senior
leaders across the ICS and all pharmacy sectors from each of the three places
in Sussex. Working to ensure alignment and equity in the MO support across Sussex
whilst not losing sight of the place -based needs.
