Job summary
Are you an experienced Pharmacy Technician looking for a new

performance and make a difference by focusing on goals? The Sussex Medicines Optimisation Team is
seeking a senior registered Pharmacy Technician to work in the Brighton &
Hove area on a 12 month fixed term contract.
The ideal candidate should have experience of leading and
developing a team, knowledge of project management principles and be able to
influence change by using negotiation and motivation skills.
Prior experience within this sector is not a requirement,
however, advanced understanding of NHS organisations and Primary Care in the
context of the NHS as a whole is essential.
You will be provided with a full training programme, close peer support
and professional development to help you succeed in this varied and challenging
role.
The successful candidate will contribute to the
implementation of the ICB Medicines Optimisation Strategy and workplan to
achieve high quality, safe, evidence based and cost-effective prescribing.
Main duties of the job
The key focus for this role will include:
- To work collaboratively and lead Medicines Optimisation Pharmacy
Technicians across the Sussex ICB.
- Building and maintaining appropriate networks and working
relationships with other teams across Sussex.
- Providing leadership, support and line management to the West
Sussex Medicines Optimisation Pharmacy Technicians.
- Lead in the coordination of training & development and
recruitment activity across the team.
- To have responsibility for project management and performance
within place-based areas.
The post holder will be able to work agilely as part of the
organisations Smarter Working programme. This may include, but is not limited
to, home and NHS Sussex offices around the county, though the post holder will
be expected to travel within Sussex and neighbouring areas as required.

currently, and this will describe the three key areas which includes
