Job summary
As of the 1st April 2023, Norfolk and Waveney ICB received delegated responsibility for the commissioning and oversight of community pharmacy provision. To support us in this, we have an exciting post for a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist with a passion for quality improvement and quality assurance within community pharmacies across Norfolk and Waveney. You will be a valued member of the Nursing and Quality team, but will continue to work in a matrix way with other teams within the ICB, including medicines optimisation and delegated commissioning teams.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the quality assurance and quality improvement within community pharmacies across Norfolk and Waveney, working closely with other ICB teams. You will provide leadership and facilitate innovation in the planning and implementation of quality related projects within community pharmacies. You will work closely and collaboratively with the Nursing and Quality team members and Medicines Optimisation team within the ICB. You will work in partnership with community pharmacies to ensure policies and procedures are up to date and focused on high quality care and patient safety. You will provide specialist knowledge and expertise around quality related issues within community pharmacies. You will work collaboratively with Infection Prevention and Control and Safeguarding teams within the ICB to support community pharmacy services across Norfolk and Waveney. You will work in partnership with the complaints team within the ICB, provide expert knowledge to complaint responses related to community pharmacy issues.

These local networks each take responsibility for the health and care of their registered population working together with hospitals, community services, social care, and service users.
