Job summary
A rare opportunity has become available in the Corporate Services Directorate for a Band 3, head office receptionist based currently in Pemberton House, Sunderland. The successful applicant will work by our values and behaviours and help to achieve the ambitions and key priorities of the ICB and those of the directorate.

Main duties of the job
The post is part time 0.68WTE or equal to 25.5 hours per week. Currently spread over three full days Monday - Wednesday 8.30 - 5.30pm (8.5 hours per day) 30 minutes lunch break.
The nature of the role demands a significant degree of autonomy, the ability to manage and respond to day-to-day challenges as well as a high degree of intellectual flexibility.
You will possess excellent communication and engagement skills and meet the essential criteria outlined within the Job Description attached.

Job responsibilities
Working with colleagues across the NENC ICB the post holder will provide an effective and efficient reception and single point of contact service to the organisation. This will be either, in person, over the telephone or other via any other source necessary to support delivery in the role.
The post holder will be a key member of the business support function and will contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the reception services by being resilient, flexible and adaptable to a changing workload and responsibilities, ensuring deadlines are achieved.
Ensuring the visitor register is updated and all visitors receive a visitor badge and are directed to their meetings in an efficient, polite and timely manner.
Providing general advice of a non-clinical nature to patients, public, clients and other NHS staff.
Respond and handle incoming telephone calls forwarding to the right person efficiently and professionally.
To provide role cover for job share arrangement for receptionist role for annual leave/training/other when necessary.
Proactively collate, update and maintain and apply own information retrieved through working knowledge and experience. Maintaining master copy for updating and sharing.
