Job summary
This post is open to internal employees of the 4 acute LSC Trusts, LSCFT and the ICB only.
12 month secondment opportunity.
This role will be varied and will adapt over time as the ICB develops. However, the postholder is expected to take a lead managerial responsibility for a defined portfolio and fulfil the following key responsibilities which are described below:-
- Planning - Contribute to the strategic plan, identifying interdependencies and impact
- Project management - Lead on identified areas of work and track implementation
- Resource Management - Deliver against objectives, evaluating all aspects
- Stakeholder Engagement - Engage with and influence various stakeholders
- Staff Management - Line management responsibilities, support to wider team
Main duties of the job
Delivery:
- Lead, or significantly support, system-wide transformational programmes that directly relate to urgent and emergency care, for example Integrated Urgent Care, NHS 111 First, 2-hour urgent community response, Virtual Wards, Flow and Discharge, and Intermediate Care
- Work with place-based colleagues and partners on urgent and emergency care and intermediate care development at place and coordinate local urgent and emergency care pathways in line with system priorities, objectives and standards
- Develop new and innovative contracting models for urgent and emergency care services that take account of new approaches, including the Provider Selection Regime.
About us
Working as part of a place focused UEC team covering the whole of Lancashire and South Cumbria. Duties will cover the full geography as well as specific work in individual places. As deputy to the Senior Manager for UEC Delivery you will line manage the team of place based Senior Officers.
The team works very closely with the UEC Strategy and Intermediate Tier Teams under the common leadership of the Associate Director for UEC and Director for UEC and Planned Care.
