Job summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to undertake the role of Head of the Chief Executive's Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Chief Executive to deliver the strategic and day-to-day operational business of the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and for compiling business plan, developing strategies and ensuring implementation and that intended outcomes and strategic objectives are met.
Working closely with senior officers, stakeholders and partners across the Integrated Care System (ICS), excellent relationship building skills are essential as is a problem-solving mindset. You will lead the business management function to the Executives, ensuring priorities are supported.
You will have a good understanding of the NHS and thrive on identifying challenges and opportunities facing the ICB and the wider ICS. Alongside this you will be confident and comfortable working in a highly visible role, with freedom to act across a range of activities.

Main duties of the job
To provide strategic support to the Chief Executive and senior leaders. Providing advice and counsel to ensure the effective and efficient discharge of their functions, and the delivery of the Chief Executive's vision.
To act as a strategic partner and key interface with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), building positive and effective relationships with staff across the organisation.
To ensure effective communication with The Chair, Board members, Strategic Directors, partners, and other stakeholders.
To lead the delivery of business management support to the Chief Executive and Executive Management Team.
To understand the Chief Executive's priorities and agenda, and to ensure the Chief Executive's time and attention are used to maximum effect, making sound judgements, acting, escalating and prioritising in accordance with rapidly changing business needs.
