Job summary
We require a dynamic, organised and efficient Support Officer (NHS Band 4) to cover a period of leave until 31 March 2025.
The role is key to the smooth working of the friendly and supportive Wolverhampton placed based Safeguarding Team and the wider Black Country ICB Safeguarding Team.
The role is full time (37.5 hours) over 5 days (Monday Friday) but this can be a little flexible to fit with the successful candidates commitments.
As this is to cover leave the earliest commencement date would be preferable.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for the provision of efficient, effective, and professional administrative services to support the Safeguarding Team. This will include managing diaries and providing proficient secretarial, office management, personal assistant, and support services. The post holder will have excellent customer service and standards of work, to uphold and enhance the reputation of the Safeguarding Team.
Enable the team to work across the local health system, ensuring BC ICB can demonstrate that they have appropriate systems in place for discharging their duties in terms of safeguarding; and gain assurances from all commissioned services throughout the year to ensure continuous improvement; and to support other professionals in their agencies on all aspects of safeguarding.
Establish and implement effective administrative working protocols and practices within the Safeguarding team, whilst continually reviewing/improving the systems.
The post holder will work independently on matters affecting the day-to-day running of the teams activities and planned inspections using their initiative and there will be a requirement to work flexibly.
The post holder will have high levels of word processing skills, minute taking and be able to apply skills and knowledge to various software applications which they have gained from extensive experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
