Job summary
The Urgent and Emergency Care Directory of Services (DoS) is a database of health services commissioned across England. The DoS is used by NHS 111 telephony and online, ambulance services and health care professionals to signpost or refer patients to services to meet their needs. DoS content is maintained by regional teams; it needs to be current, accurate and reflect the requirements of respective Integrated Care Systems (ICS).
The DoS is continuously developing to meet the demands of healthcare systems and the post-holder will work as part of a small, pro-active team covering the West Midlands. This will involve working collaboratively with the team, linking with a range of stakeholders and being able to identify issues requiring escalation. There will be a mix of under-taking delegated tasks and working autonomously on designated areas of responsibility.

The individual will need to have excellent communication and prioritisation skills, attention to detail and a flexible attitude to meeting the demands and dynamic nature of urgent and emergency care.
The job description and person specification are an outline of the tasks, responsibilities and outcomes required of the role. The post holder will carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required by their line manager.
