Job summary

We are looking for a pro-active and experienced project lead with a passion for supporting services to deliver the best outcomes. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate drive and initiative and be able to work in a fast paced environment.

The post holder will play a pivotal role in supporting the ICB Continuing Health care (CHC) and Mental Health and Learning Disabilities individual packages of care deliver change in line with the ICS strategy and will be required to work with partners and stakeholders effectively to support multiple projects.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support the Coventry & Warwickshire Continuing Health care Service (CHC) and Individual packages of care (IPOC Leads and Managers to ensure effective delivery of NHS CHC and IPOC priorities across the C&W system The Project Lead will work collaboratively with various partners , and external stakeholders to facilitate and lead projects to secure system-wide transformation and delivery of strategic priorities.

The Project Lead role will ensure workstreams are planned and managed effectively, taking the lead in ensuring their successful delivery against agreed timelines and plans, and for the management and reporting of risk. This includes overseeing the implementation and delivery of projects against the key milestones within agreed timescales.

About us

The CHC service is multi disciplinary team consisting of Clinical, Admin, Contract, Commissioning and Business Intelligence. All the teams working together and collectively is vital to delivery of the services.

The team work with a range of partners and stakeholders.

Job responsibilities

The post holder will support the Coventry &Warwickshire Continuing Health care Service (CHC) and Individual packages of care (IPOC) Leads and Managers to ensure effective delivery of NHS CHC and IPOC priorities across the C&W system The Project Lead will work collaboratively with various partners , and external stakeholders to facilitate and lead projects to secure system-wide transformation and delivery of strategic priorities.

The Project Lead role will ensure workstreams are planned and managed effectively, taking the lead in ensuring their successful delivery against agreed timelines and plans, and for the management and reporting of risk. This includes overseeing the implementation and delivery of projects against the key milestones within agreed timescales.

A key dimension to this role will be to lead projects within the workstreams with the engagement of relevant partners and clinicians in the complex management agenda to ensure they are heavily involved in the development of plans and any service pathway design, improvement and change management and that there is the necessary capacity and capability within the system to deliver both the local and national targets.

Has a key responsibility to lead project management and provide service analysis, service redesign and capability building expertise to the services that fall within Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care System (ICS).

Actively contribute to the delivery of the CHC and IPOC programme and project key objectives providing professional project leadership to allocated workstreams.

Manage and implement an effective and planned programme of activities utilising agreed tools and skills including those based primarily but not exclusively on lean thinking ensuring that progress can be tracked, and risks mitigated.

Work closely with the workstreams ensuring strong engagement, cross working, shared learning, and delivery against their individual workstream plans.

Liaise and communicate extensively with key stakeholders across the health economy. Liaise with appropriate functions within the ICB.

Knowledge, Training and Experience

Essential

  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project principles, techniques, and tools such as Prince 2 and Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) or equivalent experience PRINCE 2 Practitioner
  • Experience of working in public sector organisations i.e., NHS, Local Authority, Police, Fire Service etc.
  • Current knowledge of Continuing health and care systems in England
  • Sound knowledge of current NHS performance and service improvement initiatives and targets
  • Practical and theoretical knowledge of models, theories and frameworks of Lean, process redesign and change management
  • Experience working within a policy environment.
  • Proven track record of working on service transformation.
  • Experience of working in a complex, multidisciplinary organisation
  • Experience of working in an effective team from diverse backgrounds
  • Experience of initiating partnership working across organisational boundaries
