The Community Chronic Pain service is a multi-disciplinary team of expert chronic pain clinicians who support people with persistent pain to develop self-management strategies to manage their chronic pain.
This service is delivered in a variety of settings and virtually, tailored to meet patient needs and can be in a group setting, 1:1 clinics and also within the secure (prison) environment. The serviceruns Introductory Pain Groups and Pain Management Programmes aimed at supporting those with non-malignant persistent pain across the community. Our aim is to help individuals to improve their quality life and reduce their dependency on healthcare services and medication. The service operates from Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm

Main duties of the job
We're looking for a skilled and compassionate Alexander Technique Teacher to join our Community Chronic Pain Service, supporting patients across Kent to improve movement, reduce pain and regain confidence in their daily lives. This is a rewarding opportunity to bring your specialist expertise into a supportive, multidisciplinary team dedicated to helping people manage long-term pain more effectively.
In this role, you'll work with patients in community settings, offering tailored one-to-one and group sessions that focus on posture, movement awareness and self-management strategies. You'll help individuals understand their habitual patterns, develop healthier movement choices and build the skills they need to live more comfortably and independently.
You'll collaborate closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists and pain specialists to deliver a holistic, person-centred approach to care. Your insights will contribute to shared treatment plans, patient education and the wider development of our service.
