We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Locality Lead - Immunisation Service to join our caring and progressive immunisation service.
We're a close team but we're never exclusive, if you can bring a professional approach and fresh ideas we would love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
Your daily activities will be varied to include:
- Provide support, leadership and line managementto all colleagues within your team.
- Recording actions accurately in patient notes
- Competently manage and administer immunisations within a range of settings, ensuring the safety of patients, other colleagues
- Taking responsibility for the correct cold chainstorage and handling of vaccinations
- Triaging consent
- Awareness of contraindications
- Delivery the vaccination under legal directives i.e.PGD/written instruction
- Check the presentation of the vaccine products i.e.expiry date and storage
- Advising on potential post vaccination reactions
- Complete heel prick blood sampling
- Motivating individuals, communities and otherprofessionals and agencies to recognise theimportance of immunisations and the protectionthey provide to individuals and communitiescurrently and in the future.
