Are you a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistant looking to enhance your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment?
We are excited to launch a new phlebotomy service and are seeking an enthusiastic HCA to join us for 22.5 hours per week. Please note candidates must be able to work Wednesdays 8am - 2pm. These positions include working on a rotational basis within our Community Nursing Team, providing the opportunity for a more varied and rewarding role.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing service that puts patient care at the heart of everything we do. You'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality phlebotomy services while also supporting patients in their homes as part of our community nursing rotation.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venepuncture and support the delivery of our new phlebotomy service for both Adults and Children.
- Carry out patient interventions within your scope of practice.
- Manage your own schedule to ensure timely visits are completed efficiently.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant (community experience desirable)
- Phlebotomy training or willingness to undertake training
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be available to work every Wednesday, 8am - 2pm
