An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Pulmonary Rehabilitation team for dynamic andenthusiastic Band 6 Respiratory Practitioner (Nursing or Physiotherapy background) withinEast Kent. The wider team provides Pulmonary Rehabilitation services across East Kent andDGS (Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley) localities. The successful candidate would beworking alongside a band 7 Physiotherapist and therapy assistant practitioners, supported byan admin team to deliver a high quality service.
This is a skilled post with the expectation that you will provide clinical knowledge and skills to assess and treat patients with chronic respiratory conditions in a community setting. This postwill allow you to further develop your specialised respiratory skills whilst working as anindependent practitioner. Your input into this service allows patients to improve theirfunctional ability, breathlessness management and overall quality of life. It is essential that you are HCPC registered with proven experience and knowledge in arespiratory specialised field.
Main duties of the job
o The Band 6 Pulmonary Rehabilitation practitioner supports the Clinical SpecialistRespiratory Physiotherapist ( Band 7) within a locality areao To plan, co-ordinate, deliver and evaluate a high quality, evidence based PulmonaryRehabilitation and respiratory outpatient service for respiratory patients within a locality areao Engage and provides support to more junior staff to coordinate their areas accordingly.
You will play a key part in engagement with integrated accountable care organisations. The Pulmonary Rehabilitation service is currently working with different healthcare providers inKent and continues to develop the respiratory pathway and the service to serve localpopulation.The service currently provides regular in-service training, clinical supervision, protected CPDtime, and input into local clinical interest groups. The trust also encourages staff to developand provide training opportunities internally and externally as identified during annualappraisal process. The Trust has also achieved Foundation Trust Status and rated as'Outstanding' by CQC.
A full, valid UK driving licence and the ability to travel independently are essential for this role.
There is an option of hours from a minimum of 22.5 hours up to a maximum of 37.5 hours.
Total vacancies 2 WTE, service will offer flexibility in discussion to successful candidates for working hours and location.
