We are a highlysuccessful integrated therapy service with a pooled budget across health and social care since 2013.It has never been a more exciting time to join the NHS if you are interested in working with children and young people withCerebral Palsy with the launch of CPIPS for Upper-limb surveillance.We are seeking B6 Occupational Therapists with experience in paediatrics and an interest in complex physical disability;and children or young people with multiple needs including developmental delay and sensory processing difficulties. Thepost-holder(s) will need to have knowledge of equipment prescription however training is available for the right candidate.The posts will be based in a special school for 1 day a week as well as carry a community caseload and work from clinic-based settings.Consideration will be given to either full-time or 0.6 /job-share. Bases will be either Crowborough or Polegate and weensure smart, geographical working as well as hybrid working.Interviews will take place week commencing 30th September.Curious? Main duties of the job
To provide a specialist therapy service to children aged 0-19 as part of an East Sussex Children's Integrated TherapyService, provided by Kent Community Health Foundation Trust (KCHFT).You will be part of a team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Assistantsthat covers early years and school years children with learning disability and complex/ multi-disciplinary needs.The role will include providing therapy as part of an integrated team in partnership with a special school for children whohave a diagnosis of autism, developmental delay and/or complex learning and medical needs.To be responsible for managing a complex and specialist clinical caseload.To provide a high quality and cost-effective clinical service to disabled children /young people and their families incollaboration with the Locality team, Professional Leads and Locality Clinical Managers.To be responsible for the appraisal and line supervision of Band 5 staff and/or Assistants/ Key Workers within the team incollaboration with Professional Leads and Locality Clinical Manager as appropriate.
Additional Working Pattern: 1.6 WTE Vacancy- can be full time or part-time.
