Job summary
Reporting into the Executive Director of Health Inequalities and Prevention you will play a pivotal role in advancing health equities and improving overall population health and the wellbeing of our patients and communities. You will bring a deep understanding of public health, population health, healthcare and health equity combined with exceptional skills in collaboration, teamwork, partnership working and system leadership as well as an interest in building capacity and developing colleagues.
You must be on GMC register with a license to practice or inclusion in the UK Public Health Register in order to apply for this post.
Main duties of the job
What will the role involve?
- You will lead on areas to improve population health and equity
- Provide senior strategic leadership and input into the Trust's health inequalities priorities, including guiding planning, prioritisation, delivery and evaluation of initiatives ensuring all efforts are designed and delivered with our communities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our partners including working with local authority, other local system NHS partners and the voluntary sector
- Offer expert advice and leadership on public health matters to all areas of the organisation
This is a community based role so the majority of your duties will be carried out between your home and a community venue / trust site.
