An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Pulmonary Rehabilitation team for a dynamic and enthusiastic Band6 Respiratory Physiotherapist to develop into a specialist band 7 role within Kent. We have a new post in theEast Kent area covering the Thanet locality.Our Pulmonary Rehabilitation teams provide valuable services across East Kent and DGS (Dartford, Graveshamand Swanley) localities. This is a skilled post with the expectation that you will utilise your specialised clinicalknowledge to assess and treat patients with chronic respiratory conditions in a community setting. Your inputinto this service will allow patients to improve their functional ability and breathlessness management to makea tangible difference to their quality of life. The team are now also integral to providing a rehabilitationservice to those patients recovering Long-Covid.Working within Pulmonary Rehabilitation provides great job satisfaction when you receive positive feedbackfrom patients such as:"The people were very friendly and helpful and got me to exercise every day instead of sitting in this chair. Main duties of the job
- The Band 6 Senior Respiratory Physiotherapist supports the Clinical Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapist( Band 7) within a locality area and will be supported to develop into a band 7 role following successfulcompletion of competencies.
- To plan, co-ordinate, deliver and evaluate a high quality, evidence based Pulmonary Rehabilitation and respiratory physiotherapy service for respiratory patients within a locality area
- Engage and provides support to more junior staff to coordinate their areas accordingly.
It is essential that you are HCPC registered with proven experience and knowledge in a respiratory specialisedfield. We welcome applications from band 5 Physiotherapists looking to specialise into chronic respiratorydisease management where you will be supported to develop your knowledge and skills. Driving or access totransport is also essential for this post.
There is an option of hours from a minimum of 22.5 hours up to a maximum of 37.5 hours.
