We are looking for a Band 6 Specialist Podiatrist.The successful candidate will join one of the largest and forward-thinking Podiatry Departments inthe Country. This role is for a highly motivated and professional HCPC registered Podiatrist toprovide high quality podiatric care for patients with pathological foot conditions and thoseindividuals at risk of developing serious foot health complications.A comprehensive corporate induction programme is given at the commencement of employment.As well as this the Podiatry Department offers its own preceptorship package covering all aspectsof peer review, clinical supervision, support and mentoring. A Competency programmes is usedfor staff to ensure all work is to a high clinical standard which can lead to future opportunities forcareer development into a chosen specialist area which can be supported within the service.The service is delivered in Community Clinics, Health Centres, GP surgeries, Acute and CommunityHospital Sites, Prisons and patient's own home. All staff are given the opportunity to get involvedin a wide variety and scope of practice. Main duties of the job
Band 6 Podiatrist work closely with the people who use our services, families, friends and carersand play an important contribution in how people experience our services.Band 6 Podiatrists are expected to be kind, responsive and professional, contributing to thequality of the services we provide by:
o Keeping the people who use our services safe through the use of sound clinical skills andeffective risk assessmentso Ensuring the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering toevidence based policies and procedureso Ensuring the people that use our services have a good experience by respecting, empoweringand working in partnership with them.We believe that the best health care is delivered by multi-disciplinary teams working welltogether and in partnership with other teams and services to provide seamless care. Band 6Podiatrists work as part of a team and contribute to its success by being a role model, supervisingmore junior members of the team (Qualified and unqualified) and students to ensure they areworking to the professional standards required and provide leadership within the team.
