Job summary

An amazing job opportunity has risen to join Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust's forward thinking, compassionate, family focused Specialist Infant Feeding team.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual who is passionate about infant feeding and is able to demonstrate excellent experience in leading a clinical team.

We welcome applications from those candidates who do not hold the essential IBCLC qualification for the post but would be willing to undertake further training through a trainee/development post route

Main duties of the job

You will lead in the clinical area, acting as an infant feeding resource, providing expert infant feeding knowledge and support to families and to the ongoing development of allstaff. Working alongside the Infant Feeding Programme Manager and the wider team, they will support the clinical implementation of the infant feeding service and provide expertadvice for colleagues on complex feeding issues.

You will have to show exceptional communication skills, a passion for service development and will be expected to use their expert clinical knowledge alongside management andleadership skills to improve the working lives of staff and an enhance patient experience. You'll work in partnership with all key stakeholders and the wider service to improve thehealth and well being of the population in Kent and the maintenance of the UNICEF Baby Friendly standards and progression towards Gold award.

  • Educated to degree level in relevant discipline.
  • Evidence of Post Graduate Specialist qualifications relevant to area of practice - e.g. Lactation Consultant qualification and registered with the IBLC
