Our Assistant Practitioners work as part of a team with our School Staff Nurses led by our Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (SCPHNs) to deliver a range of interventions to improve the health and wellbeing of children, young people and their families.
The East Sussex School Health Service is open Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:30 - 17:00. The main hub is in Polegate with hot desks across the county.
Main duties of the job
As an Assistant Practitioner you will work as part of a team to promote health and wellbeing and prevent ill-health.
You will use your clinical judgment to support evidence-based care planning and make sure that people who use our services have a good experience.
You will develop effective relationships with clients, families and carers where sensitive information is communicated. This includes escalating safety concerns and by doing so acting as effective advocates for those who use our services.
In addition you will maintaining accurate, legible, electronic records and adherence to local performance reporting measures.
