Job summary

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a full time Band 3 DentalReceptionist in Community Dental Services based at Barkantine Dental in InnerNorth East London (INEL).

We are seeking to appoint someone who is passionateabout delivering a high-quality standard of care to our patients across Londonborough of Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Newham.

The range of services includes Sedation, Special Care Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry, Domiciliary care, Bariatric and Dental Mobile service(Homeless/Medium secure unit)You will need to be able to work in a very busy environment whilst remaining calm and be able to demonstrate a good understand of andcommitment to delivering excellent standards of care.

A Receptionist with specific responsibility for providing administrative andreception task for special care group of patients in community setting. Whilst thepost will be based at an agreed clinic the role is peripatetic and will involvecovering at all dental sites in INEL.

You're required to have the skill level specified in the person specification in order to carry out the job, however, we do welcome applicantsfrom individuals wishing to further their knowledge and skills and to gain thisrecognized qualification, which we will support. So, if you do not have theessential skills for the role, this may not be an automatic barrier to you beingoffered an interview.

Main duties of the job

  • You will be delivering high quality customer services to patients and visitors and supporting the entire dental team
  • You will provide reception duties and greet patients face to face on their arrival.
  • Organisation day list and prepare dental record to run efficient dental services
  • Undertake specific administrative roles as and when directed by the Dentist and Dental Nurse team leader to support the day to day running of the clinics
  • Implementing service initiatives/developments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards including, but not limited to, CQC, Dental PracticeInspections, Standard Operating Procedures, Health & Safety Risk Assessment etc.
  • You will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently, proactively and under pressure.
  • Ability to complete alphabetical filing of medical records
