Main duties of the job

Our therapy teams provide support to people who need extra help to allow them to get home safely following an illness or operation.

Our therapists use their professional expertise and clinical judgement to provide a safe environment to support patients to reach their goals.

As a Band 6 Physiotherapist you will work as part of a team to keep patients safe and well in Deal. You will use your clinical judgment to support evidence-based care planning and make sure that people who use our services have a good experience.

  • Diploma/Degree in physiotherapy
  • Appropriate State registration with the Health Professions Council

Desirable

  • Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
  • Other relevant recent qualifications/post graduate course

Experience

Essential

  • Minimum of 18 months recent experience within the past 2 years at band 5 level or above.
  • Evidence of relevant, broad-based clinical experience to include; Care of the older person, Neurology, musculoskeletal
  • Evidence of multidisciplinary working
  • Experience of working with assistants/support workers

Desirable

  • Clinical experience within community, working with patients with neurological conditions
  • Recent qualified NHS experience within last 2 years.
  • Preceptor/clinical educator/managerial role
