We are looking for a dedicated and proactive individual to join our Safeguarding team as a Domestic Abuse Practitioner. This vital role plays a key part in ensuring the health needs of Victims, children and young people are identified, represented, and shared during multi-agency discussions.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as part of the Safeguarding Team as the Specialist for Domestic Abuse and Harmful Practice, ensuring the organisation is compliant with the Domestic Abuse Act 2021.

To deliver Domestic Abuse and Harmful Practice training to all Trust Staff/Wirral GPs as per the Intercollegiate guidance 2024 and Primary care specification.

To participate and contribute to the Multiagency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) ensuring effective safety planning for any victims of Domestic Abuse.

Specification to liaise with the 0-19 practitioners to enable proportionate information sharing of health information within MARAC to safeguard the victim and children and sharing the safety plan with them.

To ensure all processes are in place to support all staff within the Trust to manage any Domestic Abuse disclosures and ensure effective safety planning for any victims.

To support any Trust staff who disclose they are the victim of Domestic Abuse/Harmful Practice, liaising as appropriate with relevant services/agencies.

Liaison with all Trust services as appropriate and proportionate to safeguard the Victim and any child victim.

  • Independent Domestic Abuse Advocate (IDVA) Specialist Diploma in Domestic Abuse.
