Job summary

Are you passionate about safeguarding and making a difference in the lives of children and young people?

We're looking for a dedicated and proactive individual to join our 0-19 Service as aStrategy Lead. This vital role sits within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) and plays a key part in ensuring the health needs of children and young people are identified, represented, and shared during multi-agency strategy discussions.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic, child-focused team, driving forward safeguarding excellence across Knowsley.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities include:

  • Attending and contributing to strategy meetings for children and young people.
  • Independently sourcing and collating health information from the Integrated Children's Division.
  • Ensuring health perspectives are embedded in safeguarding decisions.
  • Working autonomously within the MASH team while collaborating closely with partner agencies.

  • Post Graduate qualification in a safeguarding relating subject such as supervision
  • Post Graduate qualification in leadership or equivalent experience

  • Knowledge and Understanding of strategy and Mash processes
  • Sound working knowledge of Community Health care provision
  • Sound working knowledge of the legislative framework underpinning children's health provision and safeguarding children
  • Ability to demonstrate appropriate assessment of needs of children and interventions required to safeguard children
  • Ability to produce clear and concise written and verbal reports as required
  • Ability to prioritise workload and sound personal organisation skills
  • Ability to give sound advice on working with vulnerable children based on in depth knowledge
  • Ability to manage potentially hostile, antagonistic or highly emotive atmospheres, disseminating unwelcome information in a sensitive manner
  • Effective presentation, facilitation and teaching skills.
