Job summary
Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual, who is a compassionate and caring individual, who has a passion and enthusiasm for palliative care to join our specialist palliative care team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist . The service is Multi-Professional, (with Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietitian and Social Work professionals working directly as part of the team), with nurse availability 7 days per week.
The vacancy is part time; 22.5 hours a week
Main duties of the job
We are looking for highly motivated individuals with experience in palliative/specialist palliative care, who have a good understanding of current drivers in the development of palliative/specialist palliative care services, are eager to be part of a dynamic multi-professional team.

- Registered Nurse educated to degree level (or equivalent)
- Current NMC Registration
- Evidence of recent study/continuous professional development related to palliative care
- Independent non-medical prescriber or willing to undertake
- Teaching/Mentorship Qualification
- Improvement practitioner qualification or willing to work towards
- Postgraduate Leadership Qualification or willing to work towards or relevant experience
Desirable
- Educated to masters level or working towards/equivalent experience

- Significant experience of managing a caseload/leadership within the community

- Experience of clinical audit
