Job summary

We are looking for someone to join our team providing advice, guidance, coaching and support for managers across the trust to support them in developing their own management and team capability. This will be achieved through formal and informal casework, advice, policy and training development.

Main duties of the job

Providing expertise, effective and efficient processes across a range of employment relations, including:

  • casework
  • supporting and maintaining attendance
  • policy development
  • management training
  • organisational change
  • job evaluation processes

About us

Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people's own homes and via virtual consultations.

During the pandemic response we have led the implementation of public vaccination centres in collaboration with partners across health and social care.

Experience and training

Essential

  • Previous experience in a HR Advisory role including supporting and advising on a wide range of employment issues e.g. disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence and bullying and harassment.
  • Possession of level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent experience to degree level.

Desirable

  • QSIR or similar improvement methodology
  • NCAS or similar casework training

Knowledge and skills

Essential

  • Evidence of a commitment to ongoing personal development.
  • ECDL or equivalent experience

Desirable

  • Understanding around the principles of basic NHS terms and conditions of employment.
