We have a number of Healthcare Assistant vacancies available on Snowdrop Ward at Walton Hospital.
You will be responsible for direct care delivery for people with a diagnosis of organic mental health illness and associated problems related, in particular, Dementia, ChallengingBehaviours'and Physical Disabilities.
You will conduct all relevant forms of care in support of and supervised/directed by a Registered Nurse and will support the Registered Nurses in the implementation and delivery of high standards of patient care promoting patient wellbeing following a 'Person-Centred Approach'.
Main duties of the job
You will participate as a member of the nursing team in delivery and monitoring of individual care/treatment plans and report changes to the registered nurse as appropriate.
You will undertake programmes of personalised care to meet the direct care needs of each patient, maximizing independence and "recovery".

Snowdrop ward is an 18 bedded unit providing care and treatment for individuals with organic mental health needs, largely dementia. We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated staff to join our team. The work is hard, but the rewards are huge.
