Community Occupational Therapist

Job summary

We have a fabulous opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join the bedded care team at Bennerley fields, we offer rehab and complex discharge planning to our patients, enabling a safe discharge home.

The role supports 7-day working and there will be a requirement to cover some weekends and bank holidays as part of our rapid response service, approx. 1 in 6 weekends.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated band 5 occupational therapist to join the Amber Valley Community Therapy team.

This role would give the successful applicants the opportunity to be part of an in-patient team, but also be part of the wider bedded care team within Amber Valley and Erewash, under the wider umbrella of community therapy- an experienced team with a wealth of knowledge.

Our multi-disciplinary approach to care supports patients with a wide range of conditions; including complex comorbidities, palliative care and frailty.

The successful applicant will require the ability to integrate into our MDT, understanding the roles we all have to play.

The successful candidates must be highly motivated with excellent communication skills, have the ability to work on their own initiative, but also be an effective team worker, and be keen to help develop the role of therapy on the ward.
